- Icebreaker Question: How would you describe your ideal day?
- In Matthew 4:12-25, Jesus was by the Sea of Galilee and told some fishermen (those who would soon become some of Jesus’ first disciples),”Come, follow me”. These disciples were willing to leave everything behind to follow Jesus. Their occupation, their family, their reputation. They were all in for Jesus! Jesus makes that invitation to us today, “come follow me”. What stands out to you about the disciples’ response to Jesus? What would it look like today, to live like these disciples did?
- In Matthew 8, we took a look at the story of the Leper and the Centurion who submitted to the authority of Jesus and were able to experience a glimpse of the Kingdom of God. What is one thing God may be asking you to submit to His authority? What are some things that might hinder us from taking that step towards Jesus?
- Mark Renfroe encouraged us to not settle for less by adopting the American dream. How would you define the American dream in the college context? In what way does Jesus’ Great Commission, found in Matthew 28: 18-20 to his disciples, give you hope and/or challenge you as a college student?
